[The feed goes dark for a few minutes, well, longer than a few, and when Alex calls back, she's not actually calling. More than that, she's not actually talking, instead she's sending a picture and it's taken not at Howard's house but rather at their apartment.

[Well, well that's a thing. It's a thing he's going to stare at for a few moments as he contemplates going home, but decides to play things out the right way.]

[Alex doesn't say anything, but there's a knock on his door, and if he opens it, he would find his companion wearing her brand new trenchcoat, and a pair of heels that add a fair amount to her height.

(Don't let the heels fool you, she put them on when she get there.)

And she's also holding the book she had. Pictures are a great thing hmm?]

[That was actually rather surprising, but Richard has a great poker face. So of course, he gives her an obvious once-over before lifting the trench coat a little.]

[Yes, she's still wearing the lingerie below the coat (including the stockings) that she had been wearing in the pictures, and she's got her bag with her flats in it of course, but she's going to smirk up at him and give him a shrug.]

Maybe. Maybe not. Still wearing 'em now, though.

[He thought she would be. She was trying to be bold, after all. Bold and unpredictable.]

You should have tried asking me not to go to Geneva wearing that.

[He hooked a finger into the belt of the trench coat and pulled her flush against him, leaning over her ear to breathe over it.]

[Alex just wrapped her arms around his neck and laughed softly, her eyes sparkling up at him when she does it.]

You should still see the one I have in my suitcase, my love. It's definitely one that's very 'fuck it the world may end' or 'fuck it, we're in South America, let's finally have sex because it's sexy and I look good in it.

[Because they both know Alex never would have asked like this. It'd belittle how serious everything was. But after the decision was made? Sure.]

[He clasped his hands around the small of her back, letting a light kiss fall right under her ear.]

[A grin before she kissed him softly, and then she spoke against his lips because god this was much easier with heels.]

[Alex's voice is low, and her words come between kisses that keep becoming more ardent.]

[He can't help mirroring her kisses, pressing her back against the door.]

[He pauses as he gives her a particularly deep kiss.]

But it would be a lie.

[With her back against the door, Alex just reached down and locked it, because that was what grown ass adults did when they were at the very least making out a lot in one of their offices. The last thing Alex wanted was some errant student to end up walking in.

She could only imagine how hellish Richard would make their academic life for it.

Slightly breathless, Alex just laughed after she broke the kiss, and she asked:]

When I told you I wasn't surprised by the pictures.

[He knew it had frustrated her and, of course, Alex being Alex, she would up the ante by coming over.]

[Alex just laughs softly, her hand moving to stroke his cheek.]

And of course you under reacted to the pictures because you'd knew how I'd respond to it? Of course ending up here.

Clearly I need to up my impulsivity game here, Richard.

[Then she leaned forward to press her lips to his ear and speak there.]

So you're going to have no one to blame but yourself for it then.

[He turned his head, smirking as he retaliated.]

[And Alex just kissed his neck for a moment before she added:]

Really? Somehow I find that hard to believe.

I always enjoy proving you wrong.

[He reaches up, running a hand through her hair as he lowers his voice again.]

[There's a look on her face that is just on this side of adoration with that grin, and when she speaks it's in a low tone matching his, but her words take a different direction.]
