We'll have our last meal in the apartment and then start moving. How far is it from the apartments?

[He finishes unbuttoning and moves to slide it off her shoulders.]

[Alex just looks up at him entirely amused for a moment before she leans forward and hooks her legs around his.]

My coat now. It definitely looks better on me.

[He'll ignore the leg hook and slide the coat off.]

I swear sometimes you're impossible. I definitely would have had sex with myself on my desk if I showed up wearing this.

It's a good thing you didn't, it would have been a mess.

Okay. So one last dinner in the apartment and packing.

I still can't believe your father's house is here. It's weird. I mean, my suitcase is there and everything, just sitting where I left it in the entryway.

[It was still weird to think about, actually, that she had shown up with an overly packed suitcase and plane tickets and was set to just give up her life. In some ways it was both the most brave and the most stupid thing she'd ever done.

[That was actually a creepy thought.]

[Alex is just going to visibly shudder for a minute.]

But it might have been worth it to see your response to some of the things I grabbed for you.

[His brows furrowed at the thought. If she was asking him to run away with her then why would she need to pack things for him? He could, should he have chosen to go with, packed for himself.]

Why did you pack for me?

Well, in case we were going to Brazil, I grabbed some things to make you less conspicuous. A sun hat, some shorts and a button down shirt. Just in case. I was trying to be prepared.

[Alex thought things through, Richard. Shouldn't you be glad?]

[Maybe, but instead, he just frowned. He wasn't wearing those.]

I would have sold them.

The idea is hiding, Richard. Not going around and announcing our presence. Besides, they weren't like jeans or anything. I know you better than that. They were very... yuppie.

[Says the hipster.]
