As far as Simon said, yes, he did kill his parents. However, there's no evidence to back his confession.
His parents were members of a cult and believed they could use certain rituals to bring specific demons into the world through the use of children. This particular cult believed in a coming demon apocalypse. Demons, however, are not real, and any beliefs Simon has in them are simply due to the early indoctrination of the cult.
As I said, Simon is complicated, and I prefer that people learn to understand him without my divulging too much of his history. It seems, unfair, to do otherwise.
Okay, but this isn't, like 'bad break-ups' history or 'my parents are divorced' history, Mr. Strand. I get u want him to be able to tell people on his own and respect privacy or w/e
but you shouldve told me more than what you did, even if theres plenty reason for what he did.
Then it can be my choice to decide if hes dangerous to be friends with or not.
Or if I IDK ask him about his parents, his hobbies, literally anything???
Is there really a way to explain such things without causing a negative prejudice against the person in question?

I am, however, sorry for the situation I put you in.
Think thats up to the person you're telling to decide, Mr. Strand, esp if you're the one wanting them to reach out to someone with a crazy dark history. all relationships are based on comfort zones, and people deserve to draw lines in the sand.
